About National Highway Motorway Police Jobs:
The National Highways & Motorway Police, or NHMP for short, is the Pakistani police force in charge of enforcing traffic laws, giving safety tips, promoting road safety, and doing a number of other things. In 1997, Pakistan’s highway system was built, and soon after, the motorway police were put in place. The highway patrol is now under their control.
The national highway and motorway police use modern technology to make sure people follow traffic laws. Most recently, the police department put in place the e-challan system.
The national highway and motorway network is split into seven zones so that laws can be enforced. Each zone is run by a DIG and is watched over by three more IGPs. Each Zone is made up of a number of “sectors,” which are led by an SSP and an SP. Each sector is further split up by each “beat,” which is led by a DSP.
